This year, Temple Emanu-El is partnering with Hindi’s Libraries of Long Island, NY to collect children’s books for donation. Books will be donated to the Jewish Family & Children’s Services of New Jersey.

Books should be delivered in person to our main lobby and collection will end on September 25th. We ask that you please carefully read and follow the guidelines presented below. There will be no exceptions to these guidelines.

We WILL be accepting new and gently used books for children and young adults. The following can be donated board books, picture books, leveled readers, chapter books/children’s novels, young adult novels, and high school literary works are welcome and appreciated.

We are NOT accepting coloring books, puzzle/activity books/workbooks, study materials, cookbooks, journals, encyclopedias/thesauruses/dictionaries, calendars, adult books, bibles/prayer books, toys/games, maps/atlases, library books, and PJ Library Books.

Please take a moment to review your donations to confirm they are in good condition and DO NOT contain: Tears/rips/stains, missing pages, crayon/marker/pen marks, items missing from the book (including CD, cards, jewlery, stickers, etc.)
